A.S.Saint Ethiene's Ali Jegham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of Hungary booed when A.S.Saint Ethiene was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Utoh Bachdim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ali Jegham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 42nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Hungary's Fodor Daniel got control of the ball when Håkan Molin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fodor Daniel was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ricardo Vergílio. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodoro Camargo to make the kick off. Valdomiro Vander kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind A.S.Saint Ethiene's goalkeeper Ali Jegham, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Camargo, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ali Jegham made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antal Valentin in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Antal Valentin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ali Jegham quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Balazs Lajos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Ali Jegham made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Utoh Bachdim during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hegedus Henrik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Ali Jegham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teodoro Camargo in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fodor Daniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Håkan Molin scored 1-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fodor Daniel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Major Barna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Ali Jegham made a huge save. A.S.Saint Ethiene's Ali Jegham proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save A.S.Saint Ethiene from getting a goal against them. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antal Valentin in the 84th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Antal Valentin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Jegham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, A.S.Saint Ethiene's Valdomiro Vander got a free kick in the 88th minute. A.S.Saint Ethiene's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Major Barna 90 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2.
