Marcelino Txurio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Zonta having to interfere. A collision led to El retorno del Pincha getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Justino Raymundo hit a great ball. With a little luck, Ascacibar-Pérez's Einar Holmberg got control of the ball when Sven Thorsberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. André Zonta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martín Palermo in the 100th minute of the match. El retorno del Pincha's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
