Khalid Kennedy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mitch Dunn in the 3rd minute of the match. Allen Goss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyle Cox in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Kyle Cox ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Allen Goss was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 10th minute Kyle Cox shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allen Goss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th match minute, England was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cooper Thompson to maneuver through the defense. England were furious when Seth Young was red carded, 14 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 14th minute, one of England:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for England. Phyperstars FC's Ron McElroy managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Leighton Davies in the 27 minute of the game. After a rather tough play, England's Micah Macdonald got a free kick in the 28th minute. Tracy Landry's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Khalid Kennedy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Micah Macdonald during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerrod Castillo got free with Khalid Kennedy in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th minute, Jerrod Castillo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Khalid Kennedy. The goal made the score 1-2. After the first half England were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mitch Dunn to make the kick off. After some careless play in the England defense, Rodger Emerson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Khalid Kennedy. The England fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Khalid Kennedy should have stopped the shot. Gustavo Kessler hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Allen Goss made an important save on a dangerous shot by Issac Dawson in the 73rd minute. Kyle Cox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 83 minutes, Kyle Cox managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. England's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kyle Cox was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Phyperstars FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave England the free kick.
