In the 3rd match minute, Valette Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nelson Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. Valette Stars were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Herblay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pierre-Antoine Landemaine took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Dimitri Armbruster got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Qian Zheng Yi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Saul Eriz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Rafail Rusev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Herblay's Qian Zheng Yi got control of the ball when Rafail Rusev tried to sneak it across the goal line. Qian Zheng Yi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saul Eriz, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Adrien Tanneau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karim Bellarabi in the 22nd minute of play. Valette Stars's Rafail Rusev got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 29th minute Karim Bellarabi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrien Tanneau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Herblay's Mustapha Monteillet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mustapha Monteillet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adrien Tanneau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karim Bellarabi, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Herblay's Qian Zheng Yi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafail Rusev in the 53rd minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Herblay's goal looked a bit too open when Rafail Rusev came free, but Qian Zheng Yi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saul Eriz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Qian Zheng Yi having to interfere. In the 62ndth minute of the game Rafail Rusev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Herblay's Qian Zheng Yi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 64 minutes, Rafail Rusev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valette Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafail Rusev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jean-Michel Portier ran over to the corner to take the kick. With his leg Adrien Tanneau managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Herblay's Karim Bellarabi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Qian Zheng Yi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saul Eriz in the 95th minute of the match.
