In the 12th match minute, FC Gullegem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ion Giurgiu to maneuver through the defense. Barnaba Pilsudski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Radamel Hendrickx read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. With a little luck, FC Gullegem's Axell Verduin got control of the ball when Pieterjan Anteunis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 20th minute Yuri Portugal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Axell Verduin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Kierati De Buyser in the 22nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Gullegem's Matty Bormans. Axell Verduin made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Yuri Portugal sent off a good shot on target. Yuri Portugal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Axell Verduin made a huge save. FC Gullegem's Axell Verduin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save FC Gullegem from getting a goal against them. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Barnaba Pilsudski was the one to do the kick off. In the 81st minute Karel Cromefeldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Axell Verduin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Axell Verduin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yuri Portugal in the 82nd minute of play. Axell Verduin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yuri Portugal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yuri Portugal in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Axell Verduin saved FC Gullegem from getting behind. Barnaba Pilsudski might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Radamel Hendrickx. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Barnaba Pilsudski ran back to his position shaking his head. Radamel Hendrickx made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Barnaba Pilsudski sent off a good shot on target. 94 minutes into the match, FC Gullegem's goal looked a bit too open when Pieterjan Anteunis came free, but Axell Verduin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ion Giurgiu charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ion Giurgiu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 97th minute Karel Cromefeldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Axell Verduin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fauna Utd's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
