Eendracht Vooruit's Atay Türegün proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Eendracht Vooruit from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Wágner Recife's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rene Vereijt was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. In the 19th minute, FC Ouagadougou National's Dani Rojas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdulla Baia in the 38th minute of play forced Eendracht Vooruit's goalkeeper Atay Türegün to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matteo Gillis hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Abdulla Baia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Atay Türegün having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdulla Baia in the 46th minute of play forced Eendracht Vooruit's goalkeeper Atay Türegün to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Rene Vereijt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommi Armentier in the 51st minute of the match. Sabahattin Kökten hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Atay Türegün showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dani Rojas, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 72 minutes into the match, FC Ouagadougou National's Abdulla Baia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Atay Türegün narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 95 played minutes FC Ouagadougou National got a freekick which was hit by Paolo Evis. FC Ouagadougou National's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
