Jiang Zhen Sen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Lou Wegers when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Eendracht Vooruit's Jiang Zhen Sen was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 43rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 47th minute, Eendracht Vooruit's Tommi Armentier dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The wind increased when Wágner Recife made the kick off in the second half. After 67 played minutes Eendracht Vooruit got a freekick which was hit by Diederick Imbrechs. Atay Türegün took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marten Merckx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 4-2 when Wágner Recife sped through de belletrekkers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lou Wegers.
