Ad Fundum's Kamiel Ingelborgh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Ad Fundum from getting a goal against them. Atay Türegün took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Van Beneden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th minute Ad Fundum were awarded a corner. Manfred Bruse went to the cornerflag to take it. Kamiel Ingelborgh made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wágner Recife in the 10th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Wágner Recife managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eendracht Vooruit's supporters rose to their feet, but Wágner Recife was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kamiel Ingelborgh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eendracht Vooruit's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mihai Encea in the 16th minute. The corner ended in Mihai Encea almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ad Fundum's Kamiel Ingelborgh did a great save. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ad Fundum's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mihai Encea was slow to take the kick. During this time Eendracht Vooruit's players had a chance to rest. Mihai Encea made a great header on Eendracht Vooruit's corner, it was just that Ad Fundum's Kamiel Ingelborgh managed to reach the ball for a save. 24 minutes into the game, Wágner Recife cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Kamiel Ingelborgh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 29 minutes into the match, Tomás Baldaia notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Eendracht Vooruit's Atay Türegün. Atay Türegün was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wágner Recife got free with Kamiel Ingelborgh in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 36 minutes into the match, Eendracht Vooruit's Wágner Recife sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kamiel Ingelborgh narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aurel Cornea made in the 37th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jarno Van Dyck. If Wágner Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurel Cornea got a throw-in 40 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Jarno Van Dyck. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ad Fundum's goalkeeper Kamiel Ingelborgh, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 43 minutes into the game, Jordi Paschiers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ad Fundum's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eendracht Vooruit the free kick. After 43 played minutes Ad Fundum got a freekick which was hit by Jordi Paschiers. After 45 played minutes Eendracht Vooruit got a freekick which was hit by Mihai Encea. Atay Türegün showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Baldaia, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Wágner Recife made the kick off in the second half. Wágner Recife took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kamiel Ingelborgh. Kamiel Ingelborgh dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Tran Vrolijcx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jiang Zhen Sen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atay Türegün took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tran Vrolijcx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute Wágner Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamiel Ingelborgh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kamiel Ingelborgh came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Eendracht Vooruit's Wágner Recife. But to his dismay, Wágner Recife quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. If Wágner Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Wágner Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wágner Recife blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kamiel Ingelborgh having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wágner Recife in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kamiel Ingelborgh prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ad Fundum's Kamiel Ingelborgh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wágner Recife in the 78th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Wágner Recife left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eendracht Vooruit fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. 83 minutes into the match, Wágner Recife had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kamiel Ingelborgh. Ad Fundum's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wágner Recife was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. Aurel Cornea made in the 88th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Eendracht Vooruit's Matteo Gillis. Wágner Recife's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kamiel Ingelborgh read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Jiang Zhen Sen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kamiel Ingelborgh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wágner Recife in the 93rd minute of the match. Hong Sha Sang's late challenge caught a Ad Fundum's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hong Sha Sang helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Eendracht Vooruit getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Hong Sha Sang hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the match, Tomás Baldaia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Atay Türegün. Eendracht Vooruit's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomás Baldaia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-2. Eendracht Vooruit's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
