Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barnaba Pilsudski in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lou Wegers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 27 minutes into the match, Barnaba Pilsudski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lou Wegers. de belletrekkers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Barnaba Pilsudski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 32nd minute of the game Isidoor Dejardin made a throw-in which Paulus Van Hove played forward. Kurt de Rudder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Axell Verduin having to interfere. Lou Wegers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barnaba Pilsudski's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ion Giurgiu in the 41st minute of play forced de belletrekkers's goalkeeper Lou Wegers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute Ion Giurgiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lou Wegers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Gullegem's Waut Du Molin was substituted for Emanuel De Roest. FC Gullegem's Gertjan De Geyter quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Aurelian Barboni, made in the 45th minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Paulus Van Hove made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind de belletrekkers's goalkeeper Lou Wegers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lou Wegers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joe Vandamme in the 59th minute of the match. Lou Wegers came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by FC Gullegem's Barnaba Pilsudski. But to his dismay, Barnaba Pilsudski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Barnaba Pilsudski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lou Wegers having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 73 minutes, Lou Wegers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Pieter Teurfs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Gullegem made a substitution. Jonathan Vrijdag replaced Joe Vandamme. A hard shot 79 in the game by Barnaba Pilsudski from a close distance when the talented Lou Wegers managed to make a qualified save. de belletrekkers's players were relieved. Lou Wegers came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Gullegem's Barnaba Pilsudski. But to his dismay, Barnaba Pilsudski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. A sloppy throw-in by Inocencio Ariando in the 85th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Gullegem's Matty Bormans. Lou Wegers came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Gullegem's Barnaba Pilsudski. But to his dismay, Barnaba Pilsudski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. After having played for 92 minutes, Barnaba Pilsudski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Gullegem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barnaba Pilsudski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kurt de Rudder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Gullegem's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
