In the 41st minute Karel Cromefeldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludo Vanden Bossche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Huts hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Andreas Pirlo made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, The Everett Hawks's Philippe-Arnaud Heremans nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Radamel Hendrickx made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The Fauna Utd fans cheered their team off the field, for while The Everett Hawks had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
