In the 16thth minute of the game Hermelando Coello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but de belletrekkers's Lou Wegers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 24th minute of the match de belletrekkers got a corner. Les Presidents FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marten Merckx ran over to the corner to take the kick. Kuido Undusk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt de Rudder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Les Presidents FC's Gregory Thielemans got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute Kurt de Rudder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kuido Undusk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hermelando Coello got free with Lou Wegers in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 43 minutes into the match, Les Presidents FC's Hermelando Coello sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lou Wegers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lou Wegers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durval Aparecido in the 44th minute of play. Durval Aparecido could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Lou Wegers made a huge save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hermelando Coello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, de belletrekkers's goal looked a bit too open when Hermelando Coello came free, but Lou Wegers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 53 minutes de belletrekkers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zbigniew Narbut who took care of the corner kick. Lou Wegers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Durval Aparecido, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. With a little luck, Les Presidents FC's Kuido Undusk got control of the ball when Kurt de Rudder tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lou Wegers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregory Thielemans in the 68th minute of the match. de belletrekkers's Lou Wegers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durval Aparecido in the 69th minute of play. After 70 minutes, Heiko Spehr mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the de belletrekkers and the Les Presidents FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Heiko Spehr hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Lou Wegers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermelando Coello in the 74th minute of the match. After 74 played minutes Les Presidents FC got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Terhorst. Kurt de Rudder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kuido Undusk having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelian Barboni in the 87th minute of play forced Les Presidents FC's goalkeeper Kuido Undusk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lou Wegers came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Les Presidents FC's Hermelando Coello. But to his dismay, Hermelando Coello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Les Presidents FC were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after de belletrekkers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zbigniew Narbut took the corner. After 95 minutes, Salvador Malheiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Les Presidents FC and the de belletrekkers players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Les Presidents FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Salvador Malheiro hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Les Presidents FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while de belletrekkers had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
