Axell Verduin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melker Gudmundsson in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 7th minute of the match FC Gullegem got a corner. SV Balverliefd's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ion Giurgiu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led FC Gullegem's Joe Vandamme to fire away a dangerous shot which Yorrick Zoethout despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 11thth minute of the game Steven Homan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Gullegem's Axell Verduin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 13 played minutes FC Gullegem got a freekick which was hit by Jörgen Norberg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steven Homan in the 15th minute of play forced FC Gullegem's goalkeeper Axell Verduin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Axell Verduin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melker Gudmundsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by SV Balverliefd's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ion Giurgiu was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Gullegem's players had a chance to rest. The corner led FC Gullegem's Ion Giurgiu to fire away a dangerous shot which Yorrick Zoethout despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 21st minute, Steven Homan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SV Balverliefd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. SV Balverliefd's Yorrick Zoethout played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barnaba Pilsudski in the 25th minute of play. After 27 minutes SV Balverliefd's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ion Giurgiu who took care of the corner kick. If Steven Homan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 29 minutes into the match, FC Gullegem's goal looked a bit too open when Steven Homan came free, but Axell Verduin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to FC Gullegem getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Pieter Teurfs hit a great ball. When FC Gullegem's Barnaba Pilsudski in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SV Balverliefd's goalie prevented a goal. Yorrick Zoethout made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barnaba Pilsudski in the 37th minute. In the 42nd minute Melker Gudmundsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Axell Verduin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Gullegem's Barnaba Pilsudski got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The referee felt a red card was in order, 52 minutes into the game, when Heiko Iepstra put in a rough tackle. A hard shot 63 in the game by Steven Homan from a close distance when the talented Axell Verduin managed to make a qualified save. FC Gullegem's players were relieved. With his leg Axell Verduin managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when SV Balverliefd's Steven Homan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Barnaba Pilsudski took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yorrick Zoethout. Yorrick Zoethout dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Yorrick Zoethout showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barnaba Pilsudski in the 69th minute of the match. FC Gullegem were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after SV Balverliefd's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ion Giurgiu took the corner. Ion Giurgiu made a great header on FC Gullegem's corner, it was just that SV Balverliefd's Yorrick Zoethout managed to reach the ball for a save. Yorrick Zoethout stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barnaba Pilsudski's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. If Emiliano Caiola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Gullegem's Jonathan Vrijdag was substituted for Joe Vandamme. In the 84th minute Barnaba Pilsudski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yorrick Zoethout saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Jörgen Norberg in the 90th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SV Balverliefd's Şerafettin Akabe. Yorrick Zoethout didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Barnaba Pilsudski went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Gullegem had won after a very even match.
