He walked away shaking his head. In the 14th minute, Teodor Covaci ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lew Maurer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 16 minutes into the match, SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Tim Wiese had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olivier Ostermann. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marc Richter stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when SV Bad Harzburg's Teodor Covaci in the 55th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Lew Maurer was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for FC Wil 1900 through an amazing save. After taking down the ball on SV Bad Harzburg's corner Marc Richter fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lew Maurer quite easily take care of the ball. The referee showed Eckhard Donndorf the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. FC Wil 1900's Lew Maurer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias Schulten in the 94th minute of play. The FC Wil 1900 supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SV Bad Harzburg's performance. The match ended with a win for SV Bad Harzburg.
