Wolf Poll took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Éthan Pichard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wolfgang Schürhoff charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wolfgang Schürhoff the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Tiger's Wolfgang Schürhoff got a free kick in the 8th minute. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tiger's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Éthan Pichard was slow to take the kick. During this time SV Bad Harzburg's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, Tiger's Jörgen Stossun got a free kick in the 12th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Éthan Pichard kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wolf Poll. That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. In the 19th minute SV Bad Harzburg were awarded a corner. Éthan Pichard went to the cornerflag to take it. Axel Schäuble tried in the game's 19th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Wolf Poll. An annoying self made goal, 2-0. In the 22ndth minute of the game Éthan Pichard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tiger's Wolf Poll was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elis Färber in the 31st minute of play forced SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Tim Wiese to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wolfgang Schürhoff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Tim Wiese tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tim Wiese showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulrich Pickartz in the 43rd minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Tiger's goal looked a bit too open when Teodor Covaci came free, but Wolf Poll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Éthan Pichard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Éthan Pichards short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Wolf Poll to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

With a little luck, SV Bad Harzburg's Tim Wiese got control of the ball when Arvid Wacker tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Tiger getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Arne Herber hit a great ball. In the 52nd minute of the match Lucas Oster sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wolf Poll skillfully saved the ball. If Teodor Covaci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wolf Poll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Rambo, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 62nd minute, Elis Färber ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tim Wiese was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Tiger's Rolf Matzken was substituted for Axel Schäuble. After 72 played minutes, SV Bad Harzburg's Éthan Pichard shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wolf Poll came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SV Bad Harzburg reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lars Schira in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wolf Poll saved Tiger from getting behind. Tim Wiese showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wolfgang Schürhoff in the 78th minute of the match. Tim Wiese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörgen Stossun in the 82nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tiger's Elis Färber got a free kick in the 90th minute. When the match clock showed 93 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Éthan Pichard sped through Tiger's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wolf Poll. Tiger's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
