In the 10th minute Gary Lineker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ke Feng Jing in the 13th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Gary Lineker sped through Germany's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. Sven Krakouer kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. FC StockholmsAlliansen's Per-Erik Arenius got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tommy Kahn was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gary Lineker showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 20 minute of play. Gary Linekers short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Tommy Kahn to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. FC StockholmsAlliansen's Claes Sundberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claes Sundberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Gary Lineker dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tommy Kahn, 3-0. Ke Feng Jing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. The supporters of FC StockholmsAlliansen booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Dreifuss didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gary Lineker to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Gary Lineker put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's Ulrich Stein suffered a sore thigh after 54 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 54 minutes into the game, Torsten Västerstrand was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Claes Sundberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Sachs in the 65th minute. 65 minutes into the game, Frank Sachs recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Claes Sundberg. Frank Sachs showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Sachs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claes Sundberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gary Lineker in the 74th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gary Lineker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Torsten Västerstrand made in the 92nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Alvin Hardeman. After 93 minutes, Chris Mergenthaler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Germany and the FC StockholmsAlliansen players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Chris Mergenthaler hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Gary Lineker managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC StockholmsAlliansen's supporters rose to their feet, but Gary Lineker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
