With 10 minutes on the clock, Cyryl Imbor commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 10th minute, one of U21 Poland:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for U21 Poland. When the match had been going on for 12 minutes, U21 Denmark's Fillip Sivananda got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Tanek Wojtyna. If Stanislaw Maziarski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Karol Andrzejewski hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. U21 Poland's Tanek Wojtyna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save U21 Poland from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jan Pająk in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Einar Klysnov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tanek Wojtyna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dan Vøge in the 29th minute. Tanek Wojtyna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Vøge in the 32nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Denmark's zone, Kamilo Glik stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Einar Klysnov came out of the goal and Kamilo Glik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. U21 Denmark's Dan Vøge got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zdzislaw Rydzewski during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 38th match minute, U21 Poland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zdzislaw Rydzewski to maneuver through the defense. The audience held their breath when Stor Back in the 40th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Tanek Wojtyna's left hand side. Dan Vøge received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tanek Wojtyna came out and tried to block the shot, but Dan Vøge slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 44th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kamilo Glik in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Einar Klysnov prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

After 57 minutes of play, U21 Poland's Jan Pająk made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Einar Klysnov was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jan Pająk might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Einar Klysnov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan Pająk ran back to his position shaking his head. U21 Poland's Eric Esposito was substituted for Witold Bycofski. U21 Denmark's Sven Herling was substituted for Haakon Grenholt. U21 Poland's Roman Fujarczuk was substituted for Karol Andrzejewski. U21 Poland made a substitution. Federico Chiesa replaced Stanislaw Maziarski. In the 71st match minute, U21 Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Asmus Molbo to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute of the match Damian Furlit shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Einar Klysnov showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. U21 Denmark made a substitution. Ros Endal replaced Fillip Sivananda. U21 Poland's Roman Fujarczuk managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Stor Back in the 83 minute of the game. In the 84th minute, Jannich Wandler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 87 minutes into the game, U21 Denmark's Gorm Jattu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tanek Wojtyna made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. In the 93rd minute Bo Dogel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanek Wojtyna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. U21 Denmark had won after a very even match.
