An unexpectedly hard shot by Kamilo Glik in the 15th minute of play forced U21 Denmark's goalkeeper Einar Klysnov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Kamilo Glik made a precise shot to the right of Einar Klysnov. U21 Denmark's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Dan Vøge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dan Vøge in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tanek Wojtyna saved U21 Poland from getting behind. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Denmark's goalkeeper Einar Klysnov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tanek Wojtyna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Vøge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. U21 Denmark's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eg Flensburg in the 37th minute. U21 Denmark's Eg Flensburg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tanek Wojtyna in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. U21 Poland were furious when Damian Furlit was red carded, 41 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After a rather tough play, U21 Poland's Damian Furlit got a free kick in the 42nd minute. With a little luck, U21 Poland's Tanek Wojtyna got control of the ball when Haakon Grenholt tried to sneak it across the goal line. U21 Poland's Tanek Wojtyna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Poland from getting a goal against them. In the 48thth minute of the game Dan Vøge who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Poland's Tanek Wojtyna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dan Vøge was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Dan Vøge had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tanek Wojtyna. U21 Poland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dan Vøge was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. The supporters of U21 Poland booed when U21 Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Asmus Molbo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan Pająk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Einar Klysnov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to U21 Poland getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Cyryl Imbor hit a great ball. In the 80thth minute of the game Rikard Træden who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Poland's Tanek Wojtyna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rikard Træden in the 82nd minute of play forced U21 Poland's goalkeeper Tanek Wojtyna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute, Kamilo Glik ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Einar Klysnov was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. U21 Poland's Er Håland was substituted for Witold Bycofski. U21 Poland's Federico Chiesa was substituted for Stanislaw Maziarski. With a little luck, U21 Denmark's Einar Klysnov got control of the ball when Jan Pająk tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rikard Træden struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Tanek Wojtyna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Denmark.
