Young Benefica's Mitchel Dijkstra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Young Benefica from getting a goal against them. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hincha Pelotas FC's goalkeeper Hendrik van Eijnde, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Young Benefica's Mitchel Dijkstra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Larrategui in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Larrategui in the 14th minute of play forced Young Benefica's goalkeeper Mitchel Dijkstra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walmir Breckenfeld's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hendrik van Eijnde read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Hendrik van Eijnde came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Young Benefica's Walmir Breckenfeld. But to his dismay, Walmir Breckenfeld quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Feyzullay Taşkıner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Walmir Breckenfeld notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Hincha Pelotas FC's Hendrik van Eijnde. Hendrik van Eijnde was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 31st minute Walmir Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hendrik van Eijnde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hendrik van Eijnde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmir Breckenfeld in the 34th minute of the match. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hincha Pelotas FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Walmir Breckenfeld was slow to take the kick. During this time Young Benefica's players had a chance to rest. In the 43rd minute, Hincha Pelotas FC's Xose Movilla seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Xose Movilla the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hincha Pelotas FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Xose Movilla had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 42nd minute, one of Hincha Pelotas FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hincha Pelotas FC. Walmir Breckenfeld walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post.

In the 51st minute, Walmir Breckenfeld ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hendrik van Eijnde was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Walmir Breckenfeld recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hendrik van Eijnde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walmir Breckenfeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Walmir Breckenfeld's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Hendrik van Eijnde skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Walmir Breckenfeld in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hendrik van Eijnde, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Hendrik van Eijnde made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feyzullay Taşkıner in the 65th minute. In the 72nd minute, Feyzullay Taşkıner reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hendrik van Eijnde. The goal made the score 0-5. A collision led to Hincha Pelotas FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Roman Zornoza hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Hincha Pelotas FC defense, Walmir Breckenfeld kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hendrik van Eijnde. The Hincha Pelotas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hendrik van Eijnde should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir Breckenfeld in the 89th minute of play forced Hincha Pelotas FC's goalkeeper Hendrik van Eijnde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pepe Guardiola charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pepe Guardiola the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match was over Young Benefica could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Hincha Pelotas FC throughout the match.
