Håvard Skramstad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Vøge in the 13th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, U21 Denmark's Dan Vøge sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Håvard Skramstad narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dan Vøge's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Håvard Skramstad read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Asmus Molbo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Håvard Skramstad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Norway's goalkeeper Håvard Skramstad, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glenn Risnes in the 41st minute of play forced U21 Denmark's goalkeeper Einar Klysnov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Roth kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Håvard Skramstad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Vøge in the 43rd minute of the match. After 45 minutes of play, U21 Denmark's Dan Vøge made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Håvard Skramstad was left in no man's land by his defense there! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Jørund Leira helped the player get up and apologised. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 Norway's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gregers Kumler was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Denmark's players had a chance to rest. U21 Norway's Håvard Skramstad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ros Endal in the 65th minute of play. Sven Herling charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sven Herling the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 66 played minutes U21 Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Sven Herling. Asmus Molbo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Håvard Skramstad having to interfere. U21 Denmark's attentive Gorm Jattu managed to snatch the ball when Kenneth Rognerud made a throw-in in the 72nd minute of the game. Håvard Skramstad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bo Dogel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Philip Kruse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Einar Klysnov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gregers Kumler missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 87 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Håvard Skramstad right hand side. U21 Norway's Håvard Skramstad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bo Dogel in the 89th minute of play. Håvard Skramstad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bo Dogel in the 91st minute of play. Kenneth Rognerud's late challenge caught a U21 Denmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kenneth Rognerud helped the player get up and apologised. U21 Norway's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
