In the 17th minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Ahlbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Torsten Hernström's late challenge caught a Denmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 25 played minutes FC Östra Värlinge got a freekick which was hit by Kjell Bokelund. Torbjörn Eklund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Denmark's zone, Vidar Brummer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal and Vidar Brummer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Denmark's Keld Paulsen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Denmark from getting a goal against them. A sloppy throw-in by Jörgen Högberg in the 45th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Denmark's Theis Winther. In the 47th minute, Bertram Svenningsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The wind increased when Alfons Abrahamsson made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Lars Steen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Denmark's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Östra Värlinge the free kick. Lars Steen hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torbjörn Eklund in the 75th minute of play. A collision led to FC Östra Värlinge getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Christopher Nilsson hit a great ball. 83 minutes into the match, FC Östra Värlinge's goal looked a bit too open when Bertram Svenningsen came free, but Paul Ahlbom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute of the match Denmark got a corner. FC Östra Värlinge's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Chris Nygaard ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Bertram Svenningsen managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. With a little luck, FC Östra Värlinge's Paul Ahlbom got control of the ball when Bertram Svenningsen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chris Nygaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Paul Ahlbom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Lars Steen hit a great ball. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evert Lundberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Paul Ahlbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Nygaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. When the final whistle sounded Denmark left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Östra Värlinge.
