Einar Klysnov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolás Castillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the game, Louis Halmsted was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Denmark's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Chile the free kick. Nicolás Castillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

U21 Denmark's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
