But to his dismay, Lars Meesters quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 38th minute of play forced SOMA-Anadolu Ateşi's goalkeeper Zbyszko Okraszewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wim Wilmes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zbyszko Okraszewski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Zbyszko Okraszewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 41st minute of play. In the 44th minute, Gafur Salim reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arnout Reekers. The goal made the score 4-1.

After 64 minutes, Gafur Salim made it 5-4 with a short kick to the right side. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, SOMA-Anadolu Ateşi's Zbyszko Okraszewski got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Teo Elivareo came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
