The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Côme Concha during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when Real Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Côme Concha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute, Eusebio Odol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Melquiades Salvatore was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Melquiades Salvatore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from German Iraido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. German Iraido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Salvatore having to interfere. When Real Racing Club's German Iraido in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atlético Atlanta's goalie prevented a goal. If Côme Concha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute, German Iraido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The corner led Club Atlético Atlanta's Donato Nalo to fire away a dangerous shot which Elpidio Bala despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Melquiades Salvatore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fermin Quintun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bartolo Castulo hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th play minute Severino Huly came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Elpidio Bala. 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Côme Concha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Côme Concha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquiles Oihenarte to maneuver through the defense. Côme Concha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Melquiades Salvatore made a huge save. Melquiades Salvatore didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Real Racing Club's Côme Concha shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-3 in the ordered_time% minute. 69 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Côme Concha came free, but Melquiades Salvatore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Severino Huly managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Atlanta's supporters rose to their feet, but Severino Huly was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elpidio Bala breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anselmo Sarracino hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. When Pedro Rojelio fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético Atlanta's protests and gave Pedro Rojelio a yellow card for diving instead. The long shot by Nunez Larpe in the 87th minute really tested Melquiades Salvatore's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Real Racing Club's Generoso Firme shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 88th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Melquiades Salvatore but with some difficulty. 94 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when German Iraido came free, but Melquiades Salvatore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Real Racing Club walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
