The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iván Leguizamón in the 5th minute of play forced Bendito Sea El Fernet's goalkeeper Tomás Maule to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Mario Tipi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bendito Sea El Fernet fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Bernabe Suarez was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 17 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, one of Bendito Sea El Fernet:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bendito Sea El Fernet. In the 19th minute there was a penalty for Maravilla. Tobias Banegas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tomás Maule. 1-1. In the 24th minute, Santiago Reno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the match, Bendito Sea El Fernet's goalkeeper Tomás Maule had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iván Leguizamón. Marcelo Barovero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustaquio Tiadoro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 played minutes Maravilla got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Arnau. Marcelo Barovero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Tipi, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Tobias Banegas ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Maravilla's Tobias Banegas to fire away a dangerous shot which Tomás Maule despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Marcelo Barovero was a little too slow when Eustaquio Tiadoro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 4-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Maravilla had won after a very even match.
