After a rather tough play, MORPH's Bernardino Santikurtz got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 9th minute Gabríel Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Harri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Astor Transito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Froilan Mosen in the 42nd minute of play. If Tomás Chico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Gabríel Batistuta might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emanuel Harri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
