Astor Transito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Min, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Victor Oriol took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Astor Transito to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of CONSTILIANO booed when RB Chubut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Aresti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabio Francesco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabríel Batistuta in the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th match minute, CONSTILIANO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geronimo Piarres to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute of the match Anselmo Arias shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabio Francesco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. CONSTILIANO's Fabio Francesco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban Gonsalve in the 22nd minute of play. Fabio Francesco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabríel Batistuta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabríel Batistuta in the 37th minute of play forced CONSTILIANO's goalkeeper Fabio Francesco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to RB Chubut getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Anselmo Arias hit a great ball. Carolo Cibran charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carolo Cibran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gabríel Batistuta to make the kick off. Tomás Chico's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabio Francesco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. CONSTILIANO's Fabio Francesco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabríel Batistuta in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, CONSTILIANO's Geronimo Piarres got a free kick in the 60th minute. Anselmo Arias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Min in the 72nd minute of play forced RB Chubut's goalkeeper Astor Transito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 73 played minutes CONSTILIANO got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Leoncio. A collision led to RB Chubut getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Roland Schiavi hit a great ball. After 79 played minutes RB Chubut got a freekick which was hit by Roland Schiavi. CONSTILIANO's Fabio Francesco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save CONSTILIANO from getting a goal against them. In the 84th minute, Gabríel Batistuta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RB Chubut fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. CONSTILIANO's Maximiliano Raymundo suffered a concussion after 88 minutes and had to leave the field. Aldo Mikolas's late challenge caught a CONSTILIANO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aldo Mikolas helped the player get up and apologised. CONSTILIANO made a substitution. Virgilio Telo replaced Maximiliano Raymundo. In the 87th minute, one of RB Chubut:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for RB Chubut. RB Chubut:s Astor Transito showed great skill when he stopped Bernardo Ortzi:s penalty. 91 minutes into the game, Bernardo Ortzi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Astor Transito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcial Isaio got free with Fabio Francesco in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. CONSTILIANO's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
