The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anselmo Sarracino during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Anselmo Sarracino hit a great ball. In the 19th minute Artemio Jaunti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlinhos Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Atlético Atlanta's Melquiades Salvatore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Óskar Aspfors in the 22nd minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bonifacio Cresconio to make the kick off. Cristian Varela could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Melquiades Salvatore made a huge save. After 55 minutes, Naohiro Takahara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise and the Club Atlético Atlanta players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd play minute Róbson Nascimento came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Melquiades Salvatore. 0-4. In the 68th minute, Mauro Antunes made a precise shot to the right of Melquiades Salvatore. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Óskar Aspfors came free, but Melquiades Salvatore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Óskar Aspfors could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Melquiades Salvatore made a huge save. Club Atlético Atlanta's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Óskar Aspfors scored to the left of an out of position Melquiades Salvatore, making the score, 0-7. When ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise's Óskar Aspfors in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atlético Atlanta's goalie prevented a goal. The ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
