Genadi Kotrulev started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the match, ATILA's goal looked a bit too open when Lisandro Nuñez came free, but Placido Matro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lisandro Nuñez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Placido Matro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Nuñez in the 9th minute of the match. ATILA's Placido Matro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lisandro Nuñez in the 11th minute of play. Placido Matro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Nuñez in the 13th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Edgard Cucao in the 17th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SAN LORENZO FC's Artur Quintas. Placido Matro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Nuñez in the 20th minute of the match. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind ATILA's goalkeeper Placido Matro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Lisandro Nuñez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lisandro Nuñez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Placido Matro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Bernard Zecman's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dario Astigar firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind ATILA's goalkeeper Placido Matro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 42nd minute Lisandro Nuñez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Placido Matro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, ATILA's goal looked a bit too open when Lisandro Nuñez came free, but Placido Matro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Lisandro Nuñez sped through ATILA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Placido Matro. After the first half SAN LORENZO FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

SAN LORENZO FC's Harry Styles was substituted for Claudio Quentin. ATILA's Edgard Cucao suffered a concussion after 51 minutes and had to leave the field. After 52 minutes, Ernie Siegel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SAN LORENZO FC and the ATILA players grew even worse after the yellow card. ATILA's Israel Su was substituted for Edgard Cucao. The supporters of SAN LORENZO FC booed when ATILA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Su didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in ATILA's zone, Lisandro Nuñez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Placido Matro came out of the goal and Lisandro Nuñez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind ATILA's goalkeeper Placido Matro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 67 minutes into the match, ATILA's goalkeeper Placido Matro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lisandro Nuñez. SAN LORENZO FC's Sebastian Iliana was substituted for Lisandro Nuñez. Sebastian Iliana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Placido Matro made a huge save. SAN LORENZO FC's Shao Zhen Xiao was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Placido Matro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. SAN LORENZO FC's Dario Astigar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genadi Kotrulev in the 78th minute of play. ATILA were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after SAN LORENZO FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Genadi Kotrulev took the corner. Placido Matro made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Sebastian Iliana sent off a good shot on target. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Sebastian Iliana got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Placido Matro stood somewhat misplaced when Sebastian Iliana came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 90 minute. If Marcelo Michael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute of the match, Sebastian Iliana got a very nice opportunity to score, but Placido Matro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SAN LORENZO FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
