The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cipriano Urbasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şevket Çağa in the 5th minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Gunners's goal looked a bit too open when Şevket Çağa came free, but Cipriano Urbasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6thth minute of the game Ruperto Bide who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Remigio Erramu during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Remigio Erramu hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 8 minutes into the game, Gunners's Ruperto Bide nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pankracy Glogowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 12 minutes Club Atlético Atlanta's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mauricio Mingo who took care of the corner kick. Hermenegildo Ventura was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. With a little luck, Gunners's Cipriano Urbasa got control of the ball when Eustaquio Jaizki tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 15th minute, Eustaquio Jaizki reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cipriano Urbasa. The goal made the score 1-1. Gunners's attentive Giorgos Kretsos managed to snatch the ball when Emil Chwalkiewicz made a throw-in in the 21st minute of the game. Ruperto Bide took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pankracy Glogowski. Pankracy Glogowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 33 minutes into the game, Emil Chwalkiewicz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Gunners's Giorgos Kretsos quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Cipriano Urbasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Şevket Çağa in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute of the game Emil Chwalkiewicz made a throw-in which Şevket Çağa played forward. 39 minutes into the match, Gunners's goalkeeper Cipriano Urbasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Şevket Çağa. In the 39th minute, Eustacio Farias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gunners's Giorgos Kretsos quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Emil Chwalkiewicz, made in the 43rd minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Şevket Çağa to strike the kick off in the second half. Pankracy Glogowski made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Ruperto Bide sent off a good shot on target. Gunners's Cipriano Urbasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Jaizki in the 60th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Gunners's goal looked a bit too open when Eustaquio Jaizki came free, but Cipriano Urbasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruperto Bide in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. A very good chance. Cipriano Urbasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustaquio Jaizki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Ruperto Bide kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pankracy Glogowski. That made the score 1-4 in the 82 minute of play. Muhittin Tuyuğ sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The long shot by Victorio Gregory in the 90th minute really tested Pankracy Glogowski's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 91st minute, Ruperto Bide made a precise shot to the right of Pankracy Glogowski. Club Atlético Atlanta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. In the 94th minute, Paolo Caradaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A long shot from Mauricio Mingo in the 95th minute of play was well struck, but Pankracy Glogowski made a really good save at the right post.
