Victorio Gregory did an outstanding performance 24 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 0-2 to the right of an irritated Placido Matro in the goal. Leonardo Sotil struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Cipriano Urbasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ATILA. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by ATILA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mauricio Mingo was slow to take the kick. One of ATILA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gunners:s goal. If Ruperto Bide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, ATILA's Placido Matro got control of the ball when Ruperto Bide tried to sneak it across the goal line. Muhittin Tuyuğ could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Placido Matro made a huge save. 72 minutes into the game, Norberto Neeskens threw the ball into play from the sideline. Gunners's Giorgos Kretsos quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Muhittin Tuyuğ sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Ruperto Bide could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Placido Matro made a huge save. In the 96th minute, Gunners's Giorgos Kretsos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Gunners's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
