Gunners's Ildefonso Kismi managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Reasco Das in the 12 minute of the game. Santo Damario scored 1-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cipriano Urbasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25thth minute of the game Ruperto Bide who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Riesgo Cero's Cristian Vladimirescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gunners's Giorgos Kretsos managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Reasco Das in the 26 minute of the game. Ruperto Bide's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristian Vladimirescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Santo Damario scored 2-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cipriano Urbasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gunners's Giorgos Kretsos quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Reasco Das, made in the 46th minute of the game. Ruperto Bide might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristian Vladimirescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ruperto Bide ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruperto Bide in the 46th minute of play forced Riesgo Cero's goalkeeper Cristian Vladimirescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Riesgo Cero made a substitution. Kubilay İmge replaced Lech Biskupiak. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ruperto Bide to strike the kick off in the second half. Gunners's Ruperto Bide got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gunners would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
