Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tadeo Jakobe started the match with the kick off. After 6 played minutes Santa Lucia de Merlo got a freekick which was hit by Levan Poggenborg. In the 9th minute, Edmundo Nóbrega reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cristobal Estavan. The goal made the score 1-0. Polo Quinteros was extremely unlucky when he, in the 13th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Cristobal Estavan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Florentino Herauso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeo Jakobe, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After 23 played minutes Santa Lucia de Merlo got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Chano. In the 26th minute, Tadeo Jakobe made a precise shot to the right of Florentino Herauso. Santa Lucia de Merlo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Cristobal Estavan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Polo Quinteros's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Omar Cordara scored 1-2 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Florentino Herauso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Levan Poggenborg hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Newell´s made a substitution. Amancio Bilintx replaced Mattias Wallengren. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for M. Agus Young to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Santa Lucia de Merlo's Florentino Herauso got control of the ball when Amancio Bilintx tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hernan Louis kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Santa Lucia de Merlo made a substitution. Ermegildo Salamon replaced Edmundo Nóbrega. Hernan Louis hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Newell´s's Indiana Turban shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 64th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Florentino Herauso but with some difficulty. In the 65th match minute, Newell´s was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amancio Bilintx to maneuver through the defense. Tadeo Jakobe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Florentino Herauso made a huge save. Newell´s's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Indiana Turban in the 72nd minute. It was a well-played corner which Omar Cordara managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Cristobal Estavan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from M. Agus Young in the 76th minute of play. Florentino Herauso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Cordara in the 84th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Newell´s defense, M. Agus Young kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristobal Estavan. The Newell´s fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristobal Estavan should have stopped the shot. Levan Poggenborg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Cristobal Estavan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santa Lucia de Merlo's Florentino Herauso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Cordara in the 92nd minute of play. A collision led to Santa Lucia de Merlo getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Hernan Louis hit a great ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
