An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrián Espadas in the 3rd minute of play forced Newell´s's goalkeeper Cristobal Estavan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the game, Adrián Espadas lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Cristobal Estavan. Newell´s's Cristobal Estavan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrián Espadas in the 10th minute of play. Cristobal Estavan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodolfo Atarrabi in the 14th minute. Cristobal Estavan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amador Venceslao, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Newell´s's goalkeeper Cristobal Estavan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodolfo Atarrabi. Cristobal Estavan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natalio Mazuste in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Mattias Wallengren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Soroca F.C.'s Cristobal Estavan threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adrián Espadas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Vitaliy Vischak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeo Jakobe in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Amador Venceslao had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Soroca F.C. made a substitution. Godofredo Quilino replaced Amador Venceslao. In the 31st minute, Omar Cordara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th match minute, Newell´s was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Ferrer to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Adrián Espadas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristobal Estavan was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Cristobal Estavan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodolfo Atarrabi went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adrián Espadas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adrián Espadas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Cristobal Estavan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Soroca F.C.'s Cosme Jaen was substituted for Rodolfo Atarrabi. In the 64th minute Răzvan Necula shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Estavan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Newell´s booed when Soroca F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lisandro Beltxe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lisandro Beltxe kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After 79 played minutes Newell´s got a freekick which was hit by Mattias Wallengren. After 85 played minutes Newell´s got a freekick which was hit by Mattias Wallengren. 87 minutes into the match, Răzvan Necula had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristobal Estavan. Newell´s's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Răzvan Necula was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. When the referee ended the match the Soroca F.C. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
