Florentino Herauso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramond Abila in the 15th minute of the match. Coghlan FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Levan Poggenborg scored to the left of an out of position Ahmet Bülent Özgur, making the score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Coghlan FC's Baldomiro Maurino got a free kick in the 25th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Polo Quinteros dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ahmet Bülent Özgur, 2-0. 31 minutes into the match, Polo Quinteros notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Coghlan FC's Ahmet Bülent Özgur. Ahmet Bülent Özgur was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Coghlan FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Baldomiro Maurino hit a great ball. With a little luck, Coghlan FC's Ahmet Bülent Özgur got control of the ball when Polo Quinteros tried to sneak it across the goal line. Polo Quinteros received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ahmet Bülent Özgur came out and tried to block the shot, but Polo Quinteros slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 36th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Santa Lucia de Merlo's goal looked a bit too open when Ramond Abila came free, but Florentino Herauso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santa Lucia de Merlo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arnaldo Chano in the 44th minute. The corner led Santa Lucia de Merlo's Levan Poggenborg to a score. 5-0 in the 45th minute.

Santa Lucia de Merlo made a substitution. M. Agus Young replaced Polo Quinteros. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Coghlan FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arnaldo Chano was slow to take the kick. During this time Santa Lucia de Merlo's players had a chance to rest. Bosse Spendrup made a great header on Santa Lucia de Merlo's corner, it was just that Coghlan FC's Ahmet Bülent Özgur managed to reach the ball for a save. After 59 minutes, Inocencio Ferran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coghlan FC and the Santa Lucia de Merlo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Santa Lucia de Merlo's Prospero Bernard was substituted for Levan Poggenborg. In a very dangerous position, a player in Coghlan FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 72nd minute. Penalty! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pablo Justin during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 78 played minutes Coghlan FC got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Justin. Ahmet Bülent Özgur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from M. Agus Young in the 79th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers M. Agus Young in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ahmet Bülent Özgur saved Coghlan FC from getting behind. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Coghlan FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arnaldo Chano was slow to take the kick. During this time Santa Lucia de Merlo's players had a chance to rest. If Prospero Bernard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benjamin Cordeal in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florentino Herauso saved Santa Lucia de Merlo from getting behind. M. Agus Young struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Ahmet Bülent Özgur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santa Lucia de Merlo. Benjamin Cordeal hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Santa Lucia de Merlo were the better team. Santa Lucia de Merlo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
