An unexpectedly hard shot by Philip Åkerman in the 3rd minute of play forced Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rune Jarstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitaliy van der Aa in the 5th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Wilhelm Nienhaus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stefan Mayer got a throw-in 18 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Zé Paulo da Silva. Alfred Jonsson kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Rune Jarstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philip Åkerman, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 32 minutes into the match, GrassNuts FC's Philip Åkerman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rune Jarstein narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, GrassNuts FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wilhelm Nienhaus came free, but Esbjörn Tunander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vitaliy van der Aa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Vitaliy van der Aa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vitaliy van der Aa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rune Jarstein read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, GrassNuts FC's goalkeeper Esbjörn Tunander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilhelm Nienhaus. After 46 played minutes Hertha 1969 got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Melzer. Rune Jarstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philip Åkerman in the 47th minute of play. The Hertha 1969 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. GrassNuts FC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vitaliy van der Aa to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Philip Åkerman got free with Rune Jarstein in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wilhelm Nienhaus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Hertha 1969's Lothar Heber got a free kick in the 60th minute. Hertha 1969's Kristian Oswald was substituted for Jörg Hannemann. Lothar Heber kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. GrassNuts FC's Esbjörn Tunander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ziemowit Tscherner in the 63rd minute of play. Esbjörn Tunander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gigel Elenescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Esbjörn Tunander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigel Elenescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hertha 1969's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Vitaliy van der Aa scored to the left of an out of position Rune Jarstein, making the score, 0-3. 74 minutes into the match, GrassNuts FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wilhelm Nienhaus came free, but Esbjörn Tunander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Esbjörn Tunander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ziemowit Tscherner, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Lothar Heber hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Esbjörn Tunander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 80th minute of play. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rune Jarstein firmly grabbed it by the left post. 83 minutes into the game, Hertha 1969's Gigel Elenescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Esbjörn Tunander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Hertha 1969 made a substitution. Rupert Heidingsfelder replaced Wilhelm Nienhaus. In the 89th minute Ziemowit Tscherner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esbjörn Tunander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esbjörn Tunander came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Hertha 1969's Ziemowit Tscherner. But to his dismay, Ziemowit Tscherner quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Thanks to some nice moves Philip Åkerman could shoot a difficult shot in the 94th minute, which Rune Jarstein however easily saved by the left post. Esbjörn Tunander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ziemowit Tscherner, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. GrassNuts FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
