Edgard Magdaleno's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rune Jarstein firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ayhan Vuralhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gigel Elenescu in the 7th minute of the match. With a little luck, Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein got control of the ball when Edgard Magdaleno tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ayhan Vuralhan saved Tequileros FC from getting behind. Ayhan Vuralhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Paulo da Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After some careless play in the Tequileros FC defense, Zé Paulo da Silva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ayhan Vuralhan. The Tequileros FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ayhan Vuralhan should have stopped the shot. Ayhan Vuralhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 20th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Gigel Elenescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hertha 1969's supporters rose to their feet, but Gigel Elenescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ayhan Vuralhan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ayhan Vuralhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 24th minute of play. Hertha 1969:s Rune Jarstein showed great skill when he stopped Edgard Magdaleno:s penalty. After some careless play in the Hertha 1969 defense, Edgard Magdaleno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rune Jarstein. The Hertha 1969 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rune Jarstein should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
