In the 23rd minute Valter Xabat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubinho Lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the game, João Andrade threw the ball into play from the sideline. Alemannia Aachen's Louis Leißner quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Müller in the 26th minute of play forced La Società Sport Osasco's goalkeeper Rubinho Lago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valter Xabat took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rubinho Lago. CJ Lewandowski ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of La Società Sport Osasco booed when Alemannia Aachen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt Rosenbaum didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44thth minute of the game Valter Xabat who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Società Sport Osasco's Rubinho Lago was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Louis Leißner fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alemannia Aachen's protests and gave Louis Leißner a yellow card for diving instead. Jess Carnduff made an important save on a dangerous shot by CJ Lewandowski in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valter Xabat made a kick off. When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Valter Xabat sped through La Società Sport Osasco's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rubinho Lago. La Società Sport Osasco's Rubinho Lago proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save La Società Sport Osasco from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, La Società Sport Osasco's Rubinho Lago got control of the ball when Thomas Müller tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 82nd minute of the match Alemannia Aachen got a corner. La Società Sport Osasco's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Manfred Kottsieper ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Lech Wawrukiewicz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rubinho Lago quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 85th minute, Valter Xabat reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rubinho Lago. The goal made the score 1-4. Rubinho Lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valter Xabat in the 91st minute of play. Alemannia Aachen's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Manfred Kottsieper in the 92nd minute. After taking down the ball on Alemannia Aachen's corner Manfred Kottsieper fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rubinho Lago quite easily take care of the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Alemannia Aachen walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
