The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Nordic Union's Matthias Haglund got a free kick in the 4th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sánchez Castruita in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Simon Ekman saved Nordic Union from getting behind. In the 9th match minute, Azulgranas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xabier Alejandre to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Łukasz Fabiański successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Łukasz Fabiański took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredrik Söderquist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tao Shi Fan struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Łukasz Fabiański didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nordic Union. Łukasz Fabiański showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredrik Söderquist in the 25th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Azulgranas's goalkeeper Łukasz Fabiański had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fredrik Söderquist. After a rather tough play, Azulgranas's Inocencio Tarresola got a free kick in the 30th minute. The supporters of Azulgranas booed when Nordic Union was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tom Fernström didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Nordic Union's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Zust came free, but Simon Ekman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Nordic Union's zone, Marco Zust stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simon Ekman came out of the goal and Marco Zust tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Simon Ekman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Zust, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tao Shi Fan in the 42nd minute of play forced Azulgranas's goalkeeper Łukasz Fabiański to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Łukasz Fabiański showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tao Shi Fan, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Nordic Union made a substitution. Waldir Andrade replaced Ivar Billock. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tao Shi Fan to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Marco Zust got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sánchez Castruita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Simon Ekman when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tao Shi Fan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sánchez Castruita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Victoriano Movilla in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Simon Ekman, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 91st minute, Victoriano Movilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francisco Berrios hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match.
