The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 14 minutes into the match, Nordic Union's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Vieri came free, but Simon Ekman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 15 minutes Nordic Union's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alkis Semertzidis who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Green Hell F.C. booed when Nordic Union was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baycan Işıldar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nordic Union's Tao Shi Fan got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christian Vieri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Ekman having to interfere. In the 36th minute Christian Vieri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Ekman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Nordic Union's Tao Shi Fan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fernando Prassov. That made the score 1-0 after 38 minutes of play. Green Hell F.C. were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after Nordic Union's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alkis Semertzidis took the corner. The corner ended in Alkis Semertzidis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Nordic Union's Simon Ekman did a great save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Nordic Union made a substitution. Waldir Andrade replaced Ivar Billock. The wind increased when Tao Shi Fan made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Green Hell F.C.'s Christian Vieri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Simon Ekman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 55 minutes into the game, Christian Vieri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Simon Ekman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fernando Prassov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldir Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christian Vieri might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Simon Ekman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christian Vieri ran back to his position shaking his head. Simon Ekman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Vieri, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Green Hell F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Waldir Andrade came free, but Fernando Prassov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Christian Vieri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Green Hell F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Vieri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simon Ekman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 79 minutes into the match, Green Hell F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Fredrik Söderquist came free, but Fernando Prassov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Green Hell F.C. were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Nordic Union's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alkis Semertzidis took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Grigoris Grigoriadis heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Radomil Ogrodowicz charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Radomil Ogrodowicz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 84 played minutes Green Hell F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Radomil Ogrodowicz. Nordic Union's Simon Ekman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Nordic Union from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Christian Vieri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Green Hell F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Vieri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simon Ekman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 91 played minutes Nordic Union got a freekick which was hit by Tom Fernström. Christian Vieri in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Simon Ekman, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Nordic Union's Matthias Haglund got a free kick in the 95th minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
