Basmane Texas's Lionel-Andrés Messia was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fabian Söderström in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rigoberto Piearres to strike the kick off in the second half. Gürsel Aksel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabian Söderström having to make a save. 65 minutes into the match, Haithabu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gürsel Aksel came free, but Fabian Söderström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gürsel Aksel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Haithabu FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
