The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Conrad Vrolijcx got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 8 minutes into the match, K.F.MALIQI's goalkeeper Gilles Eichenberger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Remy Van Eyken. In the 11th minute, Remy Van Eyken reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gilles Eichenberger. The goal made the score 1-0. Gerond Rrustemi's late challenge caught a Haithabu FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gerond Rrustemi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th minute Remy Van Eyken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilles Eichenberger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, K.F.MALIQI's Gilles Eichenberger got control of the ball when Remy Van Eyken tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 20 minutes of play K.F.MALIQI's Gerond Rrustemi was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Haithabu FC booed when K.F.MALIQI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerond Rrustemi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilles Eichenberger was a little too slow when Remy Van Eyken got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 2-0. Remy Van Eyken could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Gilles Eichenberger made a huge save. Haithabu FC's Remy Van Eyken got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Qi Fei in the 39th minute of play forced Haithabu FC's goalkeeper Fabian Söderström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Remy Van Eyken got free with Gilles Eichenberger in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Conrad Vrolijcx came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Haithabu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Conrad Vrolijcx couldn't finish the play.

Conrad Vrolijcx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilles Eichenberger having to interfere. Ronaldão Moreira struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Fabian Söderström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for K.F.MALIQI. Ronaldão Moreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabian Söderström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. After some careless play in the K.F.MALIQI defense, Rigoberto Piearres kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilles Eichenberger. The K.F.MALIQI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilles Eichenberger should have stopped the shot. 85 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Piearres cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Gilles Eichenberger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gilles Eichenberger came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Haithabu FC's Rigoberto Piearres. But to his dismay, Rigoberto Piearres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0.
