When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Christian Vieri took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Fabian Söderström to make any attempt to save it. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Haithabu FC's goalkeeper Fabian Söderström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fernando Prassov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remy Van Eyken, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Fernando Prassov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remy Van Eyken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute Haithabu FC were awarded a corner. Conrad Vrolijcx went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Haithabu FC's Conrad Vrolijcx to fire away a dangerous shot which Fernando Prassov despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Fabian Söderström came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Green Hell F.C.'s Christian Vieri. But to his dismay, Christian Vieri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Fernando Prassov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remy Van Eyken in the 24th minute of play. Fabian Söderström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christian Vieri's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Fernando Prassov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Slaghmeulders, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Green Hell F.C.'s Fernando Prassov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remy Van Eyken in the 38th minute of play. The supporters of Green Hell F.C. booed when Haithabu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Martínez Quarta didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Green Hell F.C. getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Alain Duarte hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christian Vieri to strike the kick off in the second half. Radomil Ogrodowicz kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Fernando Prassov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remy Van Eyken, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Christian Vieri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabian Söderström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. In the 60th minute, Haithabu FC's Remy Van Eyken dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Haithabu FC's goalkeeper Fabian Söderström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Haithabu FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Christian Vieri was slow to take the kick. During this time Green Hell F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. 70 minutes into the game, Harold Van Cruchten was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Haithabu FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Green Hell F.C. the free kick. Harold Van Cruchten kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Haithabu FC's Harold Van Cruchten got a free kick in the 71st minute. Haithabu FC's Rigoberto Piearres got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabian Söderström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Vieri in the 76th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Haithabu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Vieri came free, but Fabian Söderström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rigoberto Piearres in the 81st minute of play forced Green Hell F.C.'s goalkeeper Fernando Prassov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haithabu FC's attack was well implemented in the 81st minute, but when Rigoberto Piearres was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Haithabu FC's Adrian Astigar was substituted for Simon Blomquist. After having played for 87 minutes, Rigoberto Piearres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haithabu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rigoberto Piearres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fernando Prassov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rigoberto Piearres's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Fabian Söderström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Vieri in the 92nd minute of play.
