Honorio Sarracino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Ove Söderström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute Alejo Veliz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorio Sarracino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Honorio Sarracino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Dahlquist, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Bengt-Arne Lindqvist hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Alejo Veliz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Honorio Sarracino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, CSD Pte Derqui's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Ove Söderström came free, but Honorio Sarracino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 48 minutes, Angelo Demesio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CSD Pte Derqui's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelo Demesio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Gnesta Oilers were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Karl-Ove Söderström made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to CSD Pte Derqui getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Rigoberto Azevedo hit a great ball. Alejo Veliz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Honorio Sarracino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CSD Pte Derqui made a substitution. Isaias Leobardo replaced Zacarias Lidon. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gnesta Oilers players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for CSD Pte Derqui.
