The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The crowd rose to their feet as AFC - Curitiba's Jan Bykowski slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Anwar Nadeak. That made the score 1-3 after 93 minutes of play. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Romário Ortiz took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Anwar Nadeak to make any attempt to save it. The AFC - Curitiba players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
