Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vito Cardoso to make the kick off. Balla Bollar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albino Steven was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Albino Steven struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Ian Vestlund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corinthians Paulista. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albino Steven in the 90th minute of play forced Balla Bollar's goalkeeper Ian Vestlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Corinthians Paulista fully deserved thier win.
