After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Jonas Wiman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balla Bollar's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonas Wiman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. But to his dismay, Magno Pernambucano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Balla Bollar's Magnus Glanselius was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 23rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 30th minute Magno Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Vestlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Jonas Wiman took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Zé Augusto de Brito to make any attempt to save it. Dráuzio de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Ian Vestlund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, one of EC Bahia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for EC Bahia. The goalkeeper, Zé Augusto de Brito, was totally fooled by Balla Bollar's Alvin Axelsson, who 45 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.

The wind increased when Dráuzio de Godoi made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Dráuzio de Godoi took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Ian Vestlund to make any attempt to save it. 58 minutes into the match, Dráuzio de Godoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ian Vestlund. Egídio Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Zé Augusto de Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magnus Glanselius in the 72nd minute of play. In the 74th minute Balla Bollar were awarded a corner. Alvin Axelsson went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Alvin Axelsson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Zé Augusto de Brito quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 76th minute of the match Vilhelm Paulin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zé Augusto de Brito showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of EC Bahia booed when Balla Bollar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rasmus Abelsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute of the match, Vânderson Porto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ian Vestlund saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. EC Bahia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
