The referee ignored Pomocni's protests and gave Filip Dabrowski a yellow card for diving instead. After 5 played minutes Pomocni got a freekick which was hit by Filip Dabrowski. 13 minutes into the match, Darwen's goal looked a bit too open when Piotr Bejgier came free, but Brendon Edworthy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Piotr Bejgier took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Brendon Edworthy. Brendon Edworthy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to Pomocni getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Tolek Panikowski hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Darwen's zone, Boguslaw Marczyniec stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brendon Edworthy came out of the goal and Boguslaw Marczyniec tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maciej Koperski made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Ty Turnbull sent off a good shot on target. Pomocni's Maciej Koperski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Pomocni from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Pomocni booed when Darwen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abraham Bartlett didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Darwen's goal looked a bit too open when Stanislaw Laskowski came free, but Brendon Edworthy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pomocni's Maciej Koperski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Pomocni from getting a goal against them. Filip Dabrowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brendon Edworthy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stanislaw Laskowski to make the kick off. Maciej Koperski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brendon Winstanley in the 53rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Piotr Bejgier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pomocni's supporters rose to their feet, but Piotr Bejgier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brendon Edworthy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Piotr Bejgier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendon Edworthy having to interfere. Stanislaw Laskowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brendon Edworthy having to make a save. With his leg Brendon Edworthy managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Pomocni's Stanislaw Laskowski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Piotr Bejgier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brendon Edworthy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Piotr Bejgier in the 66th minute of the match.
