Clodoveo Baumer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vânderson Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Gonsalvo in the 24th minute of play forced EC Bahia's goalkeeper Zé Augusto de Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Gaspar Gonsalvo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernardinho Couto made in the 27th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Dráuzio de Godoi however managed to control. Egídio Neto hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Cleto Eron took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zé Augusto de Brito. EC Bahia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Magno Pernambucano's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Clodoveo Baumer firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Magno Pernambucano got free with Clodoveo Baumer in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41st minute, Gaspar Gonsalvo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The PATOS FUTBOL CLUb fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when PATOS FUTBOL CLUb's Fausto Ariando looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 48 played minutes PATOS FUTBOL CLUb got a freekick which was hit by Cleto Eron. After the first half PATOS FUTBOL CLUb were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dráuzio de Godoi was the one to do the kick off. Zé Augusto de Brito made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Cleto Eron sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of EC Bahia booed when PATOS FUTBOL CLUb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albino Eztebe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaspar Gonsalvo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of PATOS FUTBOL CLUb booed when EC Bahia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natã Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Gaspar Gonsalvo came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the PATOS FUTBOL CLUb fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaspar Gonsalvo couldn't finish the play. PATOS FUTBOL CLUb's Gaspar Gonsalvo got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 79 minutes into the game, Dário de Sousa threw the ball into play from the sideline. PATOS FUTBOL CLUb's Albino Eztebe quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Zé Augusto de Brito made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Fausto Ariando sent off a good shot on target. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zé Augusto de Brito, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Cleto Eron hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Magno Pernambucano hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The EC Bahia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. PATOS FUTBOL CLUb were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
