Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Brendon Winstanley started the match with the kick off. After 3 minutes, Luke Collier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Darwen and the Granjeiro FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Darwen's Luke Collier got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 5th match minute, Granjeiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Faria to maneuver through the defense. Ty Turnbull struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Rômulo Silveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Darwen. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brendon Winstanley in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rômulo Silveira saved Granjeiro FC from getting behind. In the 13th minute, Dida Branco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Granjeiro FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a rather tough play, Granjeiro FC's Zé Madureira got a free kick in the 16th minute. After 19 minutes, Ernani Novaes made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Darwen's Brendon Edworthy tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dida Branco in the 23rd minute of play forced Darwen's goalkeeper Brendon Edworthy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brendon Winstanley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Brendon Winstanley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th match minute, Granjeiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Lopes to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Ernani Novaes made the kick off in the second half. In the 55thth minute of the game Ernani Novaes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Darwen's Brendon Edworthy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 57 minutes into the game, Ernani Novaes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Brendon Edworthy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ty Turnbull sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dida Branco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norberto Lopes during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Darwen booed when Granjeiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 72 minutes into the game, Darwen's Brendon Winstanley nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rômulo Silveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. If Dida Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brendon Winstanley in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a little luck, Darwen's Brendon Edworthy got control of the ball when Dida Branco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luke Collier kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Granjeiro FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
