Super Nova Galaxy's Herbert Wawak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brendon Winstanley in the 3rd minute of play. The supporters of Super Nova Galaxy booed when Darwen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abraham Bartlett didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Darwen fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! Cezary Dytrych walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Cezary Dytrych who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Brendon Edworthy when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Herbert Wawak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brendon Winstanley in the 30th minute of play. Herbert Wawak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brendon Winstanley in the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Brendon Winstanley ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Herbert Wawak was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. When Brendon Winstanley came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Darwen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brendon Winstanley couldn't finish the play. Ty Turnbull fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herbert Wawak having to interfere. After having played for 45 minutes, Brendon Winstanley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Darwen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brendon Winstanley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 48th minute Brendon Winstanley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herbert Wawak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Abraham Bartlett's late challenge caught a Super Nova Galaxy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abraham Bartlett helped the player get up and apologised. If Ty Turnbull had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Brendon Winstanley reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Herbert Wawak. The goal made the score 0-4. Brendon Winstanley scored 0-5 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Herbert Wawak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Darwen's Brendon Winstanley in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Brendon Winstanley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herbert Wawak having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ty Turnbull in the 85th minute of play forced Super Nova Galaxy's goalkeeper Herbert Wawak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abraham Bartlett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Darwen's Brendon Edworthy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cezary Dytrych in the 92nd minute of play. Herbert Wawak made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Ty Turnbull sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Ty Turnbull took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Herbert Wawak to make any attempt to save it. When the final whistle sounded Darwen left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Super Nova Galaxy.
